Where does the air quality data come from?

This free tool uses data from Open-Meteo, which aggregates air quality forecasts from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS). CAMS provides high-resolution European forecasts and global atmospheric composition data, covering pollutants worldwide with 11-40 km resolution.

What pollutants are measured?

The tool monitors six major air pollutants: PM2.5 (fine particulate matter under 2.5 micrometers), PM10 (particulate matter under 10 micrometers), O3 (ground-level ozone), NO2 (nitrogen dioxide), SO2 (sulfur dioxide), and CO (carbon monoxide). Each has different health effects and sources.
