๐Ÿ“– How to Use FlashForge

FlashForge is a free flashcard tool that helps you learn and memorize anything efficiently. Here's how to get started:

  • Create Cards: Click "Add Card" to create flashcards. Type your question on the front and the answer on the back. As you type, emoji suggestions will appear for common terms!
  • Study Modes: Choose from Classic (flip and rate), Timed (beat the clock), Hard Cards (focus on difficult ones), or Spaced Repetition (scientifically optimized intervals).
  • Rate Your Knowledge: After flipping a card, rate how well you knew it. This helps the spaced repetition algorithm optimize your learning.
  • Track Progress: View charts and statistics to see your improvement over time.
  • Save Your Work: Export your deck as JSON to back it up or transfer to another device.

๐Ÿง  About Spaced Repetition

Spaced repetition is a learning technique that spaces out reviews at optimal intervals. Cards you know well appear less frequently, while cards you struggle with appear more often. This maximizes retention while minimizing study time.

The algorithm adjusts based on your ratings:

  • Again: Card needs immediate review - interval resets
  • Hard: Slightly increase interval, lower ease factor
  • Good: Normal interval increase
  • Easy: Larger interval increase, higher ease factor
