What is NASA EPIC?
EPIC (Earth Polychromatic Imaging Camera) is aboard NOAA's DSCOVR satellite, positioned at the L1 Lagrange point—approximately 1 million miles from Earth. This unique location allows continuous observation of the sunlit side of our planet.
How to Use

Image Types
Natural Color: Shows Earth as human eyes would see it from space—true to life colors.
Enhanced Color: Processed imagery that reduces atmospheric haze and enhances land features for better terrain visibility.
Data Availability
Images are available from June 2015 to present. New imagery typically appears with a processing delay that can vary. When you load the explorer, it automatically finds the most recent available imagery. Use the quick-select buttons to easily jump between dates.
