🎌 Shogi - Japanese Chess 🎌

Welcome to Shogi! Play the traditional Japanese chess game with beautiful graphics, authentic music, and AI opponents at multiple difficulty levels.

How to Play: Click a piece to see legal moves (green squares). Click a destination to move. Captured pieces can be dropped back onto the board! When pieces reach the promotion zone (last 3 rows), you can promote them for enhanced abilities. Capture the opponent's King to win!

Piece Movements:

• King (王): One square in any direction
• Rook (飛): Any distance horizontally or vertically
• Bishop (角): Any distance diagonally
• Gold (金): One square forward, sideways, diagonally forward, or backward (6 directions - NOT diagonally backward)
• Silver (銀): One square forward or diagonally (5 directions - NOT sideways or straight back)
• Knight (桂): L-shape: 2 forward + 1 sideways (jumps over pieces!)
• Lance (香): Any distance forward only
• Pawn (歩): One square forward only
• Promoted Rook (龍): As Rook + one square diagonally
• Promoted Bishop (馬): As Bishop + one square orthogonally
• Promoted Pawn/Lance/Knight/Silver (と/成香/成桂/成銀): Move like Gold General
